#34 - First Impressions

Jul 10, 2008 | Hollywood, California

Hey evrybody!
Now I know I've been out of touch for a while, but it's just been a strange couple of days. Turns out, when you've wanted something for a very very long time, and then suddenly there it is, well now that's a strange feeling. I've been walkin around this here town and I can't believe it, I'm in Hawleewood! I'm just spending hours and hours walking around with my eyes as wide open as I can make 'em, just to take it all in.
Somehow, though, the city looks diffrent than I imagined back home in 'Bama. I mean, Hollywood, it isn't really all that big, it's mostly just this long street and ain't nobody seems to come from around here orignially. Still, I can't seem to walk past the Chineese theater without giggling, it's just s’darn exciting! I just know I’ll get my own star here oneday. Now I ain't seen any celebrities yet, but I'm sure it could happen just any day now!
And speaking of celebrities, I haven't been near as successful as I expected I would. Becoming a famous actor shore is hard! Now I've done run out of money, too, an it's only on account of my getting to work at this pizza place evry now an then that I even have any money to buy my daily grits. So thanks to Ray for the job! I really need a proper place to stay, too. Do any of y'all know how I can fix me up a nice place? Please write me if so, cause I don't reckon I even know where to start!
Anyhoo keep your thumbs up for me, an I'll be writin soon again, to let y'all know how famous I been getting! Feel the free!

Hey, try to hang around

Hey, try to hang around Chateau Marmont every now and then. There are som very influential people who stay there. Maybe you can get a job as a waiter? It just could be your way of both earning daily money, AND meeting someone who sees your potential and takes you onboard. It has happened before! Watch out for the other waiters though, they will see you as a competitor. Or, try the Mondrian - a bit further down Sunset Blvd. Last time I was there, Kate Moss was at the table beside me. She did not look my way though.... And one of those bling-bling rappers checked out, with a cash register slip that was about a yard long. I kid you not. On second thought, I think the Mondrian is a bit too bling-blingy for your taste. You need something more natural and independent. I will try to think of something else. Good luck!
